“Top 5” Campaign Begins
As Santee UMC grows in Spirit and in number our campus use and needs have increased. There are current campus projects that desperately need our attention.  In February of this year, our Trustees Committee listed all of the projects on our campus and voted on the “Top 5” priorities.  They are:

• Parking Lot Paving
• Heating & Air Conditioning of Fellowship Hall and Education Buildings
• Flooring in Sunshine Hall and Sanctuary & chairs throughout the campus
• Enclosing front of Sanctuary to create a narthex as well as address a safety concerns
• Install a Confidence Monitor at the back of the Sanctuary for worship leaders

Trustees solicited bids for each of these projects and submitted a total estimate to the Finance Committee for approval.  Finance Committee approved to have a Capital Campaign be presented to the Church Council in order to raise $150,000 to address these projects.  Church Council voted to approve this campaign and assembled a “Top 5 Team.” This committee presented the plan to raise funds at our August All Church Dialogue and listened to ideas from our members and guests.

We are now bringing this challenge to you!  We are looking to raise $150,000 to do these projects.  Currently, Santee holds over $30,000 to contribute to these projects, and we hope to raise the remaining $120,000.

It begins with an “ASK.” We are asking that all who participate in the ministries of SUMC prayerfully discern what you are able to contribute to this campaign.  We invite you to bring this one time offering to be blessed and celebrated in worship on Sunday, October 2nd.
