"Like a tree planted by living water." (Jer 17:8) So are God's people to be in a world thirsty for healing and truth and justice. Rooted and grounded in the love of Christ poured into our hearts (Romans 5:5), being transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12: 2), and, by the Spirit's work through us, bearing fruit that will last (John 15:16).
This is a vision of the church that is far deeper and better than that comfortable stadium seating, espresso in the foyer, a televised sermon, and people "just like you".
After almost 100 years, God is doing something new at Santee United Methodist Church. As we approach our centennial, God is growing us in faith, in understanding, and in service. We are a community of faith committed to the life of discipleship We are a community of all ages, of all backgrounds, but united in Christ. This is a place to grow in love, a place to be real, and a place to share the gift that God has hidden in your heart.
