Labyrinth & Prayer Station Experience

January 19 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

On January 19, the Reconciling Group invites you to spend time before, after, and in between worship services in reflection and prayer with a special Labyrinth in Fellowship Hall on Sunday, January 19. A Labyrinth is an ancient spiritual practice; a winding path that can be used as an aid to meditation and prayer. Walking a labyrinth, from entrance to center and back out again, is a simple, contemplative exercise that allows you to free yourself from busy thoughts and slow down to receive the message that God has for you.

Individuals will be sent through the labyrinth two at a time and in five minute increments. Please CLICK HERE to select your preferred time slot online.

You can use your time in prayer on anything you wish. The Reconciling Group will provide Prayer Stations in Sunshine Hall and a prompt for your Labyrinth Walk for those who would like to focus their prayers on the upcoming General Conference in May, praying for the future of the denomination and our response as a church.

“The labyrinth is a path of prayer, a walking meditation that can become a mirror of the soul. It has one single path that meanders in a circuitous way from the entry to the center and back out again. The path becomes a metaphor for our own spiritual journey. A labyrinth is not a maze. A maze is designed for you to lose your way; a labyrinth is designed for you to find your way.”
